Having whizzed through Spain for eight weeks in March/April 2016, we crossed the border ( Perpignan) side and headed up over the Pyrenees towards St Emillion and then back down to the Basque country for our first few weeks in France. After which we headed over to the Haute Savioe region and the delightful Annecy before heading south to the even more delightful (if that’s even possible) Gorges du Verdon and Provence… Our final few weeks had us meandering around Lake Geneva and the Alsace region renowned for it’s Medieval town’s of Yvoire, Strasbourg, Colmar and I must add Gruyères even though it’s in Switzerland..
