On our inaugural year long trip round Europe we drove into Bavaria to see the area where Hitler had his summer hideaway; Obersalzburg, Berchtesgarden and Königssee. In our third year we took two weeks to cross over northern Germany from The Netherlands heading for Poland taking in the sights such as Winterberg, a ski resort in the west to Colditz, Meissen and Bad Muskau in the east.
