Italy

In September 2016 we crossed the border from Slovenia into Italy. Six months into our European tour nothing would have prepared us for what we were about to experience. Italy is a paradox which ever way you look at it. From the luxury and opulence of the Northern Lakes to the poverty of the south. The roads have been the worst we’ve encountered so far in Europe and the drivers take absolutely no notice of roadsigns, markings or general common sense for that matter.  And yet, for all it’s faults Italy is littered with gems of natural beauty and historical sites dating back to 700BC and more….
