Flying Drones in Spain
Well, think I have dodged a bullet. I had an email from a guy asking about how I was getting on flying ‘Dave’ our newly purchased drone copter, especially with the ‘Draconian’ spanish laws regarding this issue. I replied that due to the unseasonally inclement weather ‘Dave’ has spent the best part of 3 weeks in his box. A few skirmishes around the campsite is all that I have been able to muster to date. I have to be honest and say that I hadn’t realised that things were so stringent. So I went on-line and found some hair-raising information from t’interweb that has left me feeling slightly cold I must say. Click on this link http://www.rightspain.com/rules-regulations-drone-flying-spain/ if you need more info on the subject which makes for harrowing reading but on further scrutiny you can be sensible and not incur any ridiculous fines if you apply common sense. The only problem with common sense is that unfortunately it is not common so the message for any budding drone copter flyer ( in Spain especially) is to be extremely cautious. So I’m afraid video content from ‘Dave’ will have to wait until we get to Greece ( unless I can squeeze in a sneaky take off) and if Greece’s laws are just as draconian then I might have just bought an expensive paperweight…
