We have some very exciting news. This August, we have joined the blogging team over at GPSMycity, a Self-guided Walking App that promotes “Lose yourself in one of over 1,500 cities around the world, without getting lost”.
And today we launch 10 of The Motoroamers’ approved blogs on their portal, bringing our travels to the widest possible audience. And the best bit? You are exclusively invited to get access to three of these for the next two weeks.
1. Background to our collaboration
A little while ago, GPSMycity approached us offering us a three year membership with their App, given our propensity for travel, travel writing and being travel influencers. Their hope is that we like the App so much that we will share it with you guys and show you how it can benefit your city travels too. We all know the frustrations of trying to see a city’s highlights, perhaps in a short space of time. This App offers a great solution if you don’t want to do an organised walking tour yet want to see all the best bits a city has to offer.
In addition to our membership, they also invited us to explore monetising our blogs through their App portal. A community of travel writers, like us who share their city blogs, which if approved, are uploaded onto their app for the world to access as part of their GPSmycity App membership. We have just used one of their blogs on Lithuania’s Klaipėda and it is so useful.
2. Who are GPSmycity?
GPSmycity is a popular travel app that offers self-guided walking tours and GPS-powered travel articles. They cover over 1,500 cities worldwide. As part of their travel blogging team, we help you navigate cities like locals with offline maps and GPS navigation making it accessible to you at anytime, anywhere. Serving the needs of travellers like you and us, GPSmycity who like exploring cities on foot. The downloadable app through IOS and Android feature self-guided walks and articles that provide information on what you are seeing. An invaluable resource for anyone who wants to learn the stories behind the cities you visit without following a personal guide. Each city walk and articles comes with a detailed travel route plotted on an online map allowing you to explore at your own pace.
Connected to local guides and travel buddies, you are shown around the city you have chosen to call home, sharing the secrets behind the culture, traditions and attractions. You might loose yourself in the city vibe, although you will never again be lost with this invaluable guide at your side.

3. Your exclusive invitation
We are delighted to share the 10 blogs that we have so far had approved and have been published up to the GPSmycity App.
What to See in Portugal’s Riviera Town of Cascais
Tromso – Norway’s Most Northern City
An Informative Guided Tour of Marrakech, Morocco
A Spiritual Journey to Lourdes
Whilst our blogs are indeed informative and a great read – according to the feedback you guys give us, what we can achieve with GPSmycity is to take our writing to another level. Now these blogs can be your interactive guide and you can bring The Motoroamers with you on your next city walking tour. I have also put forward my recent blog on Tallinn in Estonia, Uppsala in Sweden, Glasgow in Scotland and Haapsalu in Estonia, which we hope fit their criteria. Here’s an example of how our Marrakesh map would look. You simply click on a number and it both navigates you there and also gives you the commentary that we have included in our blog. How brilliant is that?

In a Try Before You buy offer, for the next two weeks (from 11-25h August) you have FREE access to the following three blogs. First of all download the App for free, then you can download our material with the GPS guidance component all for FREE during this exclusive period. No subscription necessary. Just click on these links below to see our blogs come to life through GPSmycity.
What to see in Portugal’s Riviera town of Cascais

Of course, after the offer expires you can still get access to more of our ten blogs and all the other 1500+ city blogs out there by downloading the App, and signing up for an annual subscription, which for complete transparency will be an investment of:
- $14.99 (which is roughly about £11 or €12.89) per year for city walk guides.

- Or $20.99 for both, per year, (which is an investment of just £15.60)
We are so excited to join the team and look forward to hearing your thoughts on the App and our new and enhanced interactive GPS blogs. Taking our blogs, to the next level.
